Yay! Inner Peace Yoga Retreat at Joshua Park, CA !!
Rajashree began her yoga practice when she was four years old. She is a five time winner of the National Indian Yoga Championship from 1979 to 1983. By age 11, she won several titles. This experience shaped her life dream of encouraging youth to practice yoga.
With a special focus on the emotional side of yoga, she advocates yoga’s impact on not only physical health, but also the mind, body, and soul. Born in Kolkata, living in Los Angeles since age 19, Rajashree’s background is a true blend of East and West.
Kim Tang
When I first discovered Yoga in 2003, a Fire was lit within me that has inspired me to inspire others, empowered me to empower others in their ability to expand and transform their minds, their bodies, their relationships with themselves, and the consciousness with which they conduct not only their practice, but their lives.
As I believe that the body is a learning device for the Mind, I have worked wholeheartedly and passionately to do the work of asana to balance, open and strengthen the body, and through the body, the mind. I have therapeutically opened and strengthened my shoulders, my spine, my hips, knees, and ankles, my mind, my heart, and my life.
Spencer Larson
USA Yoga Men's Silver Medalist
If I were to tell you about my Self and My Life in just a few words, I would say that I’ve been an athlete my entire life, especially of contact sports and extreme sports achieving semi-professional levels. My yoga practice began on 8/08/08.
Having been an extreme gravity athlete turned yoga student, yoga teacher, and athlete of yoga sport, I have discovered that there is more to Yoga Sport than meets the eye. I believe that through breath mastery, one can connect to the Divine Consciousness within; and when I am in that place, I can connect with you as well. I’ve learned this exquisite lesson throughout my life, in the form of my love of sport, my love of nature, and my love of yoga.
Balwan
Balwan has been has been involved in training yoga teachers internationally for past 12 years. His engineering background offers a structured and scientific approach to yoga postures and philosophy. Balwan shares his mission in his own words: "We can achieve better health and a balanced life by unlocking the wisdom of yoga to reach our highest potential. By observing our inner state and applying yoga framework and techniques, we can improve our personal and professional lives. This is my life purpose, to share the tradition, culture and discipline of yoga through personal transformation.”
